Tidy up the interface - it's not very intuative

Do give some thought to this. Buttons from various bars and option checkboxes currently scattered about the screen could be moved to either the top or bottom of the screen or hidden in a drop down addition to the main menu. We don't need to see all of this all of the time. It would be better to give more screen space to the preview/original panes.
