When editing ensure that a backup copy of the original is kept
The back up can then be deleted if you are happy with the edited video or you could re-edit the original with different settings

In the options you can choose from "overwrite original", or to append an automatic numeric to the new output file's name, or to append a text (defaults to "_videomizer") to the filename.
